Spectacular Steeds

The idea for this project was to create a guerilla giveaway for Fathers Day, which incorporated the natural world.
A plant or animal whose symbolism included aspects of parenting and caretaking.

The Spectacular Steeds were created for Father's Day, in honor of all fathers, partners and caretakers.
240 tiny seahorse soaps were created by hand, and packaged for distribution.

The Spectacular Steeds galloped onto the streets of downtown Petaluma on Sunday, June 20, 2021 to coincide with Father's Day.
Six locations in high traffic areas were chosen.

Handmade and homemade in Petaluma, the tiny seahorse soaps are composed of
an olive oil soap base, citrus and vanilla essential oils, and green tea.

Variations in color are due to experimentation with the amount of green tea used in the different batches.
