Street Piano

Picture
After many weeks spent under a tarp due to smoke and hot weather, Chick P.'s piano was picked by Petaluma Pete (John Maher). Originally intended for the streets of downtown Petaluma, the piano is being warehoused due to COVID restrictions. :(

Chick P.'s piano was decorated for a local non-profit, the Petaluma River Promenade, as part of their Pianos of Petaluma program, The program puts pianos on the street for people to play. Each piano is painted or decorated by a local artist.

What SUP with Chick P.?

Petaluma's first unofficial, unsanctioned,
unconventional and unstoppable superhero is rolling on the river!

This piano shows the intrepid Chick P. paddling around and making new friends on/in the Petaluma River. There are 50+ fish on the piano, each with their own unique answer to the question "what is your power?" Some are serious, some are funny, some are very fish-like, others are not. Just below the keyboard is a quote, a modern echo of ancient knowledge, from musician David Grohl, "No one is you and that is your power."

Indeed it is, my dear superhero!
